Our Story
Our founder, John, has been in construction for over 40 years — framing houses, setting tile, and managing builds across Tennessee. In 2010, he opened Music City Building Supply in Nashville with one mission: give builders and homeowners access to quality materials at better prices, with advice from folks who've actually done the work.
From Nashville to Shelbyville and now Columbia, we've grown with our customers. What started as a single yard and a forklift has become a go-to resource for builders, flippers, and DIYers across Middle Tennessee.
We still run things the same way we always have — with grit, honesty, and a sharp eye for value. Whether you're building a home or patching up a porch, we're here to help you do it right — and save while you're at it.
