You can heat or cool two separate spaces in your home with this MrCool DIY 27k BTU 22 SEER 2-Zone Ductless Heat Pump Split System - 9k+12k. This MrCool DIY Split System is a heat pump by design, reversing the air conditioning process to pull ambient heat from the outdoors into your home when operating in its heating mode. Plus, installation is easy and requires no special tools or training.
The outdoor heat pump unit is capable of heating 27,000 BTU. The 9,000 BTU air handler can distribute heated and cooled air in a room up to approximately 400 square feet. The 12,000 BTU air handler can evenly heat and cool a space of about 550 square feet.
The MrCool DIY 27k BTU 22 SEER 2-Zone Ductless Heat Pump Split System - 9k+12k is designed to have a simple installation you can complete on your own. With the Quick Connect line set, the system’s line is pre-charged with eco-friendly refrigerant to simplify the installation. This component allows you to complete your HVAC project on your own without having to call in an HVAC technician.
Easily check the temperature of each room by reading the clear digital display on the front of each air handler or checking the MrCool Smart Controller mobile app from your iOS or Android device. From the display on each air handler you can see troubleshooting codes and alerts as they appear, so you always know of any issues with your system.

If your situation requires forced cooling, this MrCool DIY System can be set to manual. Just push the button located on the right side of the unit under the front panel. This emergency operation mode allows you to test the cooling operation of your unit or complete maintenance tasks.
Save money and sleep easy with this system’s sleep mode. Once turned on, sleep mode moderates the air temperature so you can limit your energy usage. In each of the first two hours after initiating sleep mode, the MrCool DIY unit will drop or rise to a more moderate temperature by 2°F. For the remaining six hours, the unit continues heating or cooling at the more moderate temperature, keeping you comfortable enough to sleep the whole night through.
Another feature with this set is the drying function. With this option, you can continue to control your home’s temperature while dehumidifying the space. If you are concerned about condensation collecting within your unit and causing smelly mildew, use the anti-mildew function on each indoor unit. Turn the function on, and the air handler will engage an operation designed to prevent unwanted mold growth.
